Keeping and Sharing a Divine Secret
Mark 9:2-9

Verse 9 Says "As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus gave them orders not to tell anyone what they had seen until the Son of Man had risen from the dead."

They were told to keep a secret. 

Mahirap yata ito. Maraming tao ngayon ang hindi na marunong magtago ng mga sekreto. 

Among the professional counselors, pastors, teachers, etc. keeping secrets in a must. Betraying someone of a secret entrusted to a person, may be a ground for a charge of misconduct. 

Now as a Christian, it is our duty to protect the dignity of each one of us as a true family of God. 

So, can you keep a secret? 
Can God trust you, if He will enfold to you divine secret? 

Transfiguation is a divine secret because it was entrusted first to only three of the disciples.  It is a vision that they alone saw.  Sekreto ito na hindi nila dapat sasabihin sa ibang alagad. 

Why were they entrusted with this secret?

1. They were being groomed to be leaders. 

Peter, James and John were the closest followers of Jesus. They are trained by being first - to be trustworthy.  Hindi karapat dapat maging leader ng simbahan yung tsismoso.  

Hindi pwede yung taong; lahat ng marinig ay binobroadcast sa himpapawid and lahat ng sekreto! 

- As Christians, it is our duty to protect the dignity of our fellow Christians. 

Kailangan po tayong maging karapat dapat sa ating pagkatawag. 

2. To be a Christian is a Call to Keep Divine Secrets

- As Christians, we are mandated by Christ to keep divine secrets. 

-This has something to do with how we understand ourselves. We are chosen people of God. Let us be holy enough to handle holy matters. 

They were priviledged to witness this Transformation so they will deeply know Christ as God. He is the revealer of truth first entrusted to Moses and the prophets.  And now this secret is passed on to them as Disciples of Jesus. 

Pastors, are you worthy to keep this divine secret, that was entrusted to Moises, the prophets - and now to you?

Christians, will you be the right person to be the bearer of light that was shown to Moses on Mount Sinai?

3. They were chosen to reveal the secret as commanded.  to reveal the secret when the Christ will be brought back to,life. 

Here is a clear order - kapag nabuhay na siyang muli kailangan na nilang ilahad ang mga bagay na kanilang nasaksihan. 

Kung mayroon tayong dapat matutunan - tayong lahat ay yung kung paano tayo matututong mag- evangelize. 

Maraming Kristiano hindi alam kung paano ibabahagi si Cristo. Kaya marami pa sa mga nagsisimba ngayon hindi sila totoong "born again". 

Wala silang kasiguruhan ng kaligtasan dahil ipinakilala sila sa relihiyon pero hindi sila tunay na tumanggap sa Panginoong Jesus. Walang pagbabagong buhay na makikita. 

Be a true Ambassador of Christ. 

Know Him better. 
Keep that secret within you, know yourself as a bearer of that divine secret. You are no less than Moses.  You are the new prophet. 

Last, since Jesus is now alive again, 

It now your duty to tell the world that he is God!
