John Crysostom (AD 347-407) was a man regarded by many as one of the greatest preachers in the history of the church. He built his preaching on five principles.
1. An excellent knowledge of the Bible.
2. A good command of language.
3. A compassionate heart for the people.
4. An ability to relate theology to everyday life.
5. A passionate enthusiasm when preaching.
