GREETINGS
Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain who build it.

Almighty and everlasting God, ever exalted yet always near:
Be present with us, gathered here.
to set apart this ground upon which we stand
to the honor and glory of your great name.
Let your Spirit descend upon your family that will stay together
here,
and within this land let your glory dwell.
Fill with your love all who shall seek your face here.
and as they depart from this place,
go with them in the peace and power of your Holy Spirit.

BREAKING OF GROUND
To the glory of God, in the presence of this family and friends
I now direct that ground be broken for the Punsalan family.
The responsibility and the privilege rest upon the family
to cause a building to rise here
that shall be a house of love, laughter, and harmony,
and a place devoted to the unity and love of your family
and to the glory of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Litany of Blessing as the Family, Relatives and Friends Break the
Ground.
Breaking of the Ground:
Pastor:
Praise the Lord, all you
nations!
ALL: Extol him, all you peoples!
Pastor:
For great is his steadfast
love toward us,
ALL: And the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever.
The Pastor turns one spadesful of earth, saying:
Pastor:
With faith in Jesus Christ, this work is begun and this ground is
broken in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
ALL: Amen
The husband and wife turn one spadesful of earth, saying:
With faith in our God, we thank God for his
provisions, for this land and all the God-given resources entrusted to us. We break
this ground in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
Closing Prayer
O Lord our God, we praise You for Your gift
of land and the ability to use it wisely. Grant that what we have undertaken
this day to the glory of Your name may be successfully completed for the good
of all Your people. We place out plans for this building site in Your hands,
trusting that with Your guidance, they will bear much fruit in due time. We
make this prayer to You in the name of Jesus, our Lord and King.

Almighty God bless us: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen.
