Bakit at Paano Mag-evangelize?

Why Evangelize?

Sabi niya, “Our task is nothing but to Save Souls”

1 Say to them, 'As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live. Turn! Turn from your evil ways! Why will you die, O house of Israel?'   (Ezekiel 33:11, NIV)

2. Mahalaga sa Diyos ang bawat tao.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16, NIV)

This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.    (1 Tim 2:3-4, NIV)

For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Thessalonians  5:9, NIV)

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (Matt 28:19-20, NIV)

Kaya may NOW ministries sa ating iglesia.

Sabi nga ni Apostol Pablo, “I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow.” (1 Cor 3:6, NIV).

Daanan sila papuntang iglesia.

1. Introduction - develop  raport
2. Ibahagi ang Ebanghelyo
3. Magtanong tungkol sa pagnanais Maligtas
4. Panalangin ng Pagtanggap / sinners prayer

Mga Paraan ng Pagbabahagi ng Ebanghelyo

1. Prayer of Three and One Verse Evangelism:

PRAYER OF THREE – It starts with the prayer of the pastor together with two other persons who have a sincere desire and passion to win new believers for Christ. Each one will pray for 3 persons. Joining together, these 3 persons will pray for 9 persons in all. It’s a daily prayer of the 3 persons for 30 days for those persons to encounter Christ and be saved on the process.

First week – pray intensely for those persons in your list.
Second week – continue in your prayer and start connecting with them through text messages telling them: “how they are doing” or giving some inspiring messages. Third week – continue in your prayer, texting and ask permission for you to visit them in their home or inviting them for a dinner in your house or any place that they would agree.
Fourth week – pray, text, visit and share them your testimony and through the guidance of the Holy Spirit share to them “One Verse Evangelism.”

USING the Pattern of ONE VERSE EVANGELISM

a. We need to understand:OURSELVES – we don’t need to be PERFECT to share the Gospel; we just need to be AUTHENTIC.

“CONNECTION”
2 Corinthians 4:8-10
8 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 10 We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.

b. ·We need to understand OTHER PEOPLE – no two people are alike. God wants us to share the Gospel in a way that people understand “COMMUNICATION”

1 Corinthians 9:22
22 To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some.]

c. We need to understand THE MESSAGE – the METHOD may change but the MESSAGE will always be the same. “CHALLENGE”

 “One Verse Evangelism”
· Simple
· Clear - you only use one verse. There is less to memorize
· Short – you can share the Gospel in 10-15 minutes
· Natural - One Verse Evangelism is interactive

The Verse - Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
(Write this verse on a sheet of paper.)

How to Share One Verse Evangelism
· 1st Part: Bad news – talk about the problem
· 2nd Part: Good news – Talk about the Solution
· 3rd Part: The source – Who is the Solution
· You need a written copy of the verse
a. From a Bible
b. From a tract
c. Write it on a sheet of paper or on a tissue paper.

Note: Do NOT tell – Ask! You want to enter into dialogue

Focus on the key words of Romans 6:23

Key Words - Making One Verse Evangelism Presentation
Ask the person what s/he thinks about the key words and what they mean.  Go one key word at a time, beginning with “wages”
After they have shared what they think the word means, help them clarify what they said.

I n t r o d u c t i o n

Key Question
The Bible is a big thick book. Would you be interested if I could sum up the message of the Bible in only one verse?
Write down Romans 6:23

Key Word “wages”
·      What do you think the word “wages” means?  (bayad o sweldo)
· “It is something that you earn or deserve”.
· If you work 40 hours at P40 an hour, you earn P1600.

Key Word “sin”
· What do you think the word “sin” means?
· “Sin is more of an attitude than an action – it can be a hostile or apathetic response to God”.
· Have you ever sinned? I have too…

Key Word “death”
· What do you think the word “death” means?
· “Death actually means separation.”
· So when the Bible says that “the wages of sin is death”, what do you think it is saying?
·“What we earn by sinning is death or separation from God.”

Key Word “but”
· What do you think the word “but” means?
· “There is hope! Even though our sin separates us from the perfect God, He loved us so much and wants to be with us that He has made a way for us to be together with Him!”

Key Word “gift”
· What do you think the word “gift” means?
· Can you actually earn a gift?  NO

“A gift is given to  someone, out of  love, not because of what they do.
If it is earned, it is no longer a gift but a wage.”

Key Word “God”
· Who is GOD?
· The giver of the gift

“God wants to give you a gift. I can’t give it to you; a church can’t give it to you; no one can give you this gift but God alone. Why do you think God would want to give you a gift?”

Key Word “eternal life”

What do you think “eternal life” mean? Eternal life would be…
“Experiencing life forever with God”

If the word “death” means separation, then life must mean “together”. Eternal life would be experiencing life forever with God. Life is being in a community with God.

Key Word “Christ Jesus”
· Who is Christ Jesus?
· The only Son of God
Jesus Christ is the only Son of God. We have eternal life when we believe in Jesus. God takes the wages of our sin, and puts them on Jesus instead of us.

Key Word “LORD”
· What do you think the word “lord” means?
· He is in control
Nowadays, we might use the term “boss” or “leader”. It means that we have given control over to someone else. Jesus is Lord of our life, He is in control

CONFESSION AND SURRENDER:
CONFESSING – means to agree with God.
SURRENDER – means to allow Christ to be the final authority in our lives.
Prayer:
“Dear Lord, I confess that I have sinned and don’t deserve to be with you in heaven. I believe that Jesus died to pay the price of my sins. Please forgive me, come into my heart, be the Lord of my life and help me to live for You from now on. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.”____________________________

2. John 3:16 - One Verse Evangelism
a. Mahal ka ng Diyos

Roma 10:9 - sumampalataya upang maligtas

Christian:   Ah ‘to ba?

Friend:       Bestfriend, mayroon bang ganun?  Gusto ko yatang pumunta do’n.

Topic: Kaligtasan, Teksto: Efeso 2:1-10

(Kumustahan, Umawit at Manalangin)
Introduction: ang ating topic ngayon ay....

Who is The Holy Spirit?
Acts 8:14-17

Since we are praying for us to be baptized by Jesus with the Holy Spirit, we must know who the Holy Spirit is.  Without the Holy Spirit, we can never testify as a true Christian.

The Holy Spirit is a Person of God in the Trinity

Matthew 28:19, Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, (NIV)

John 14:16-17, And I (the Son) will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever-- the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. (NIV)

2 Corinthians 13:14, May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. (NIV)

Acts 2:32-33, God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of the fact. Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear. (NIV)

(NIV)

• He Searches the Deep Things of God: 1 Corinthians 2:11

Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines. (NIV)
